“The new business paradigm will be to keep credit low & reserves high” according to new SMB Business Insights for 2009.

Followed by 37% of SMBs said “looking for new products & services” a priority once the economy settles, when asked
“What are the things you want to do for your business once you feel the economy and financial situation have

Most small business owners are actually innovators and don’t even know it!

Mostly because they do not consider themselves innovators, which is unusual because in a lot of cases they have to be creative by necessity. And creativity leads to breakthroughs in innovation and new ways of doing things. That was actually a key finding in the latest installment of the Intuit Future of Small Business Report. The study found that small business owners are natural innovators.

According to the report small businesses have six inherent advantages that make it easier and simpler to be innovative:

Personal passion

Customer connection

Agility and adaptation

Experimentation and improvisation

Resource limitations

Information sharing and collaboration

What does this mean?

Remember to not sell yourself or your business short. You’re probably more creative than you think.

The entire Report is available Small Business Innovation at the Intuit Future of Small Business Report site.
